Dusty Girls Makeup Review

Dusty Girls Makeup

I came across Dusty Girls on Instagram of course, the place where I discover most makeup brands. The packaging was the first thing that drew me in, because who doesn’t love cute packaging. Dusty Girls is an Australian based company that creates natural mineral makeup that is farmed by MooGoo Skin Care. I was nervous about crazy shipping costs since they are based in Australia but they have an option to choose US on the site and the shipping runs about $6.50 to California, so not too bad. Alright so into the products I picked up!

Natural Mineral Bronzer in Sunshine –

This is described as a highly pigmented, pressed bronzer with a soft shimmer to enhance your natural beauty. Some of the ingredients include Macadamia Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Vitamin E, to give you a smooth and long-lasting application without any silicone or chemicals. They say it’s great for contouring, I haven’t used it for contouring due to the warmth and the slight shimmer, I prefer cooler matte tones to contour with, but I’ve been absolutely loving this for bronzing and warming up my face! It’s super pigmented so be careful, a little goes a long way!

On the left is the bronzer heavily swatched so you can really see the color and the tones and on the right is applied with a big fluffy brush so you can see how it might look on your face.

Eyeshadow in Going Buff

This is described as a cream color with a blend of soft pink and subtle golden pigments to lift and enhance the appearance of your eyes. The eyeshadows are formulated without mineral oils, parabens, talc, or bismuth oxychloride. The eyeshadow has a slight sheen to it and you can pick up those subtle hints of pink and gold when you look closely. This is a great all over lid color, and it has good pigmentation unlike some nude colors that hardly show up at all. It’s hard to see in the swatch below since i’m so ghostly white haha 🙂

Lipstick in Maca Nude –

This is described as a neutral shade for a chic and barely there finish. The lipsticks are vegan, and formulated with Jojoba Oil, Shea Butter, and Vitamin E to lock in moisture. The lipstick applies smoothly and can be built up a little for a more pigmented look or swiped on once for a sheer application. This is great for a laid back daytime look or to pair with a bold smokey eye.

Overall I am really impressed with this brand and I definitely want to try out their blushes and more of the eyeshadows and lipsticks!
